PHI Group, Inc. is a publicly traded company in the U.S. Stock Market (Trading Symbol: PHIL), primarily focused on energy and natural resources.


The Company, a Nevada corporation, was originally incorporated in 1982 as "JR Consulting, Inc." to engage in management consulting and merger and acquisition activities. In January 2000 the Company merged with a California-based investment banking and brokerage firm, and changed the name to Providential Holdings, Inc. In April 2009, the corporate name was changed to PHI Group, Inc.

PHI Group has signed a Definitive Agreement to acquire an estimated mineable coal reserve of 10,000,000 metric tons located in an area of approximately 2,670 hectares in Rokan Hulu, Riau Province, Indonesia from PT Bindakar.
